Walt Disney conceived Disneyland in Anaheim as a place where families could enjoy entertainment together, and it opened on July 18, 1955. It was the first theme park built and operated by the Walt Disney Company, and it remains the only one designed and constructed under Walt Disney's direct supervision. The park introduced the modern theme park model that has since been replicated around the world.

The Disneyland Resort now encompasses two theme parks: the original Disneyland Park with its castle and classic attractions, and Disney California Adventure Park, which opened in 2001. The resort also includes the Downtown Disney shopping district, three hotels, and a parking structure. The two parks together draw roughly 18 million guests per year, making the Disneyland Resort one of the most visited theme parks on Earth and a defining landmark in Anaheim's identity.

For families in Anaheim, Disneyland is woven into the fabric of childhood—a field trip, a birthday milestone, a tradition passed down. Planning for the wellbeing of those you take there, or who depend on your income to afford those experiences, is what life insurance is for. A term policy sized to your family's needs protects against the financial impact of losing an income when children are still at home.
