Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool needs gender, date of birth, general health status, tobacco use, the death benefit amount you're thinking about, and the term length. Those six pieces of information are sufficient to get carrier rates. Your name, address and detailed health information are gathered only if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The quotes shown are what each carrier will price for the health class you selected. The actual premium you pay is determined by the carrier after underwriting, which may confirm your class, improve it, or place you in a different class. This site is not making an offer of insurance or guaranteeing any particular rate.

What happens when I click Apply?

You enter your name, and we create the application from the exact quote you picked. It then transfers to the carriers' secure application platform. You have the ability to pause and come back later, and you'll sign using an electronic signature. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on which carrier, what amount you're applying for, and your answers. Carriers that advertise Immediate coverage are able to decide right away for qualifying applicants; every quote on this site tells you whether an exam is needed, might be needed, or is not needed.

Is a longer term better?

A term's years should match when someone depends on your income: a home loan, kids still at home, business obligations. Paying monthly is higher for a longer term, but you get the same rate the whole time. Our quote tool lets you look at 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year terms next to each other.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool asks no personal information, we don't share or sell visitor information, and our tracking is designed without cookies. Head to the privacy page to find the complete rundown of what gets collected and who collects it.
